Show your support!!
During the month of August, i'll be striving to read 12 books!!
In August i have decided to join the MS read-a-thon, if you haven'y heard of the MS read-a-thon before, it's a reason to read books and support others who aren't so well off.
Thankfully, my Mum has gotten much better, her diet has been a great influence on that part, as well as the MS medicine that helps to prevent a relapse. But so many people are still affected from this disease that some are wheel chair bound, and for some they experience an unfortunate end.
MS Australia (and plenty of other countries) are looking for a cure, i have participated in multiple MS Fun Runs and now i've decided to participate in the MS read-a-thon.

MS stands for, Multiple Sclerosis. This disease targets the brain and the central nervous system. MS is a disease in which your immune system attacks the protective layer that covers your nerves. This damage interrupts the communication between your brain and the rest of your body. This can give your limbs a spasm. Basically this damage destroys your nerves and slowly deteriorates them, this process can be very painful. As well as nerve pain, you can also experience fatigue (extreme tiredness). For my Mother, fatigue was one of her symptoms, once she was diagnosed she also got diagnosed with chronic fatigue (very very bad fatigue), and she continues to battle that everyday.
My Mother has had MS for just over 2 years, but she had MS before that, she was just un-diagnosed.Thankfully, my Mum has gotten much better, her diet has been a great influence on that part, as well as the MS medicine that helps to prevent a relapse.
