Very lazy reading month :/
In the month of May I had quite a lazy month, ,especially heading back to school and having to do homework instead of my usually reading of all of the wonderful new releases and awesome YA novels :(
But none the less i managed to read a total of 4 books!
They were:
Fangirl:Rainbow Rowell
The Selection: Kiera Cass
The Elite: Kiera Cass
Clockwork Angel: Cassandra Clare
My Thoughts On Those Novels :D
Fangirl
This Book, Oh this book!!
5/5 without a second hesitation!
This book is hilarious, touching and a book that left me craving... yes craving, for more writing of this world and just Rainbow Rowell's writing in general.
This story is set in a world that is exactly the same as ours and it touches on the world of a college student who's name is Cath, she is a fangirl (aren't we all! when it comes to books) and she loves to write, she has devoted herself to her fan-fiction with a character called Simon ( Simon Snow) as with all fan-fiction she takes her favourite characters and changes the world to suite her liking.
The whole bases of the story was brilliant and so relatable to many readers and writers every where.
I loved Cath's college room mate, Reagan, she was a mix of awkward and tough but a total mush on the inside and i adored every bit of her.
Levi, "the room mates boyfriend" I LOVE LEVI. everything about Levi is brilliant, from th emoment we meet him, i'm in love. the way Rainbow Rowell wrote Levi was outstanding! He was a mix of mysterious, then tough from a distance, and then once you met him everything changed, he became so friendly (friendlier than earlier on) and then he was always just there whenever Cath needed a friend, and just ahhh... he was lovely!!
If your a fan of a super cute contemporary then i highly recommend this novel!!
The Selection/The Elite
This for me at a glance this was a dystopian version of the bachelor!
( I really dislike the bachelor)
but Bravo Kiera Cass because 5/5 for both books!
I thoroughly enjoy both a romance and dystopian book, and yes at the start i was nervous because ewww... so much cheating and all that stuff, but i absolutely loved this novel.
I havent managed to read The One yet but it's on it's way.
Where to start...
Maxon, we'll start off with "The Bachelor" the lucky man to date 35 women and then decide from those women a queen.
I'm team Maxon all the way, he's adorable and sweet and respectable, he really just shows off his absolutely stunning side to everyone of the girls but America Singer, our main character, finds a spot with him where they are friends and allies throughout this journey. I loved every scene with Maxon and can't wait for The One.
Aspen, is the other corner of our love triangle, but AHH! i did not like him one bit, every scene with Aspen felt like i was betraying Maxon. As a reader it can be difficult to get insode the head of a character and as an author you can never be sure if the way you write will suck someone in, but Kiera Cass, made me America, i was deeply inside this story and i was at complete loss when i didnt have the final book to wrap up this series.
Recomend to anyone and everyone who loves a love story.
